Vegetable pulao recipe

Veg pulao recipe Ingredients: Onion 1 large Cauliflower 3-4 flowerets Peas 20-30gms Beans 10-15 pcs Carrot 2-3 no's Bay leaves Cinnamon stick 1 inch Cloves Coconut pieces small 10 Corriander leaves 1/2 bunch Green chillies 5-6 no's Basmati rice 1 large cup Directions:  Heat up a wide mouth pot or pressure cooker for making pulao. (I'm using idly base pot.) Pour some oil and ghee 50% each and add cinnamon stick,cloves, bay leaves and saute  Add onions and saute in high flame  Add pulao vegetables and saute  Meanwhile grind pulao masala. Take a mixture and add coconut pieces, corriander leaves,kaskas,green chillies and grind to a smooth paste.  Ground Pulao masala  Add the masala paste and saute  Add turmeric powder  Add a cup of water to cook vegetables  Add fresh cream / curd.  Close the pot using tight lid so that the vegetables will cook faster  On the other side take an...

Jeera rice

Jeera rice Ingredients: Rice of your choice (I've used Sona masuri steam rice) Jeera 3 tsp Jeera powder 2 tsp Salt Corriander leaves (optional) Ghee/oil 4 tsp. Directions:  Heat up pressure cooker and pour some ghee/oil Add Jeera and saute  Once Jeera crackled add rice and fry it in a high flame  Fry for 2-3 minutes untill the rice changes it Colour and doubles the amount  Rice colour changed and the amount of rice looks increased  For one cup of steam rice add 3 cups of water and 1 tsp salt  Add some corriander leaves  Add 2-3 tsp Jeera powder and pressure cook it for 2 whistles in high flame and 3 minutes simmer it.  Once it releases pressure, can open the lid and stir the rice Jeera rice is ready😀 Serve it with the gravy of your choice.it goes well with channa masala, Dal makhani,tadka dal, rogan Josh etc.. Pongal / Ven Pongal Recipe Ingredients: Moong dal / Pasi parupu 1/2 cup Raw rice / hand pounded rice / arisi 1 cup Ginger / Inji 1 inch Ghee / oil / nei 1/2 cup Curry leaves/ karuverpilai  Cashew / munthiri  Pepper / milagu 10 nos Jeera / siragam 1 spoon Directions:  Take a pressure cooker and add ghee / oil and heat it up  Once the ghee / oil is hot add a spoonful jeera and pepper  Add 1/2 cup of moong dal along with jeera and pepper and fry it for a minute  Add rice to the same and saute for a couple of minutes in a medium flame  You can see the nicely roasted rice and dal  Now add 5 cups of water and salt. You can add green chilli now, (I'm making for kid so I'm not adding chilli..) and allow it to boil Check the salt and pressure cook it for 2-3 whistles and simmer it for a minute and switch off the flame.  Once the pressure releases open the lid and your Pongal will be like this  Now...
