Gobi Manchurian
Ingredients:
For Manchurian;
- Cauliflower 1 medium
- Maida 1/2 cup
- Corn flour 1/2 cup
- Red chilli powder
- Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
- Salt
- Turmeric powder
- Garam masala
- Onion 2 medium
- Garlic 10 no's
- Chilli flakes
- Soy sauce
- Vinegar
- Honey
- Tomato sauce ( optional)
- Salt
Directions:
In a boiling water add Cauliflower and turmeric powder allow it to boil for 5 mins
Once the cauliflower is cooked 50% switch off the flame and drain it๐
Then wash the cooked Gobi in running water.
On the other side, take maida and corn flour equal amount.
Add ginger garlic paste,red chilli powder,turmeric powder,garam masala, baking powder.
Mix well all together and add some water and make a thick batter๐
Use Kashmiri red chilli powder for nice colour. Don't use food colours.
Heat up oil for deep fry.
Take a piece of cauliflower and dip it in the batter. Once it coated nicely drop it in hot oil๐
Oil should be in medium flame
When one side is cooked flip over and let it cook the other side
Once when it stops boiling remove the Manchurian from oil
Check one piece whether it cooked inside or not.
For time saving added all the Gobi pieces into the batter so that we can easily drop the pieces one by one.
Fried Gobi pieces.now it's time to make a gravy.
Chop onions and garlic finely.
Heat up oil in a kadai
Add chilli flakes and very little herbs
Add garlic and saute nicely untill it gets golden colour ๐
Add onions and saute same way
Meanwhile take some corn flour ( if you are making it dry take half amount of this)
Mix it with water and keep aside
These three are the main ingredient.soy sauce,vinegar, honey
Once the onion is sauted well add soy sauce, vinegar, honey one by one and saute๐
Add corn flour mixture and mix well
It's gets thick, add more water and mix
Keep on adding water and mix untill you're required amount of gravy comes.if you want to make it dry take less amount of corn flour.
When it's boiling check the taste and add whatever needed
I'm adding more soy sauce
More chilli flakes..if you like to make less spicy, in this stage add tomato sauce.
Adding salt
Consistency is perfect.
Add the fried Gobi to the gravy
Mix it nicely without breaking the pieces
Gobi is absorbing the gravy. Switch off the flame.garnish with some corriander leaves and serve.
Gobi Manchurian is ready๐
