Aloo Paratha Recipe
Ingredients:
- Potato / urulaikilangu 5 nos
- Whole wheat flour/ atta 2 cups
- Chilli powder / milagai thool
- Jeera powder / seeraga thool
- Ajwain seeds / omam 1/2 spoon
- Salt / uppu
- Coriander leaves/ kothamalli Elaine
- Oil
Directions:
Take 2 cups of atta and add salt
Add some water in the centre and make a dough
Press the dough nicely or keep it aside for 10 minutes..make sure the dough is thick..
Meanwhile take a kadai add ghee/ oil and heat up
Add Ajwain and allow it to release the aroma
Mash the potatoes well
Add mashed potatoes along with ajwain
Add chilli powder, jeera powder, salt,dry mango powder(optional)
Mix everything well together
Switch off the flame and add finely chopped coriander leaves and allow it to cool.
Make a balls..
Take a dough and make a small and thick chapathi
Place the aloo ball in the centre and close it with the corners
Close it with the corners like this.
Roll it softly and make a paratha
Place it on the hot tawa
After a minute flip over the paratha
Your paratha will be fluffy
Serve it with dal/ curd/ pickle..
Tip: once you are closing the aloo ball press it roughly by using your hand so that aloo will spread over the paratha
Kids generally like thin parathas only so I'm making it very thin

Note:
You can add finely chopped green chillies if you want to make it spicy.
